Hotkeys for Pipette tool and Enter/Leave Vehicle under one key

My problem is that the hotkeys for Entering/Leaving Vehicle and the Pipette tool are overriding each other since 2.0.
I'm a relatively new player, I've spent over 100 hours on a 1.1 save that I've finished just recently, and now as I have updated my game to 2.0 with Space Age, my side mouse buttons shortcuts didn't work. It wasn't a big problem, just needed to reassign them, all besides one combination.
This combination was having both Pipette Tool and Enter/Leave Vehicle on the same button - Mouse Button 5.
How it worked previously? When I had my cursor above something buildable, the shortcut was acting as a Pipette Tool, but if nothing buildable was underneath it, it was Entering/Leaving the nearest Vehicle.
How does it work now? Depending on combination(First key slot or second key slot for which shortcut) one shortcut overrides another. So it's either one function or another, not both. I can either Enter/Leave Vehicles, and not use the Pipette Tool with it, or only use the Pipette Tool with it but not Enter/Leave Vehicles using it.
Temporary workaround: I have assigned MB5 with a modifier key (CTRL in this case) to Enter/Leave Vehicle and raw MB5 to Pipette Tool.
Why is it important? Most people won't really care and I wouldn't be surprised if it was very unique to just me, but I still wanted to ask.
I don't really understand why but I feel like the best position for both of these things is at the MB5. This is very likely just me-specific, but it was nice to have it as an option.
