You should be able to toss the ice back into the ocean of Aquilo

Hello,

As the title says, Having so much leftover ice is a hassle to deal with.

Vulcanus you can throw back the rocks into lava. Gleba you can throw (almost) anything into an heat tower to vacuum it.

Why not throwing back ice into the ocean of Aquilo ? Ice is a harmless product, it does make sense to just throw it away.

Instead you have to atomize it using recycler & that feels very weird.

I am torn in this.

Thematically, the ground if Vulcanis is a shell over lava so the things "go" somewhere. On other planets small holes are more like lakes and the things would just stay there.

Practically, I could see all oceans act like the lava. Water is infinite so why not depth too :)

+1 for dumping any item into any of the oceans/lakes. (Not the shallow oil ocean or walkable marshes on Gleba though.)

while i see the lava and space dump as fine, i wouldnt like the dump into other "oceans"
at the other locations dumping stuff into the ocean had to work like landfill/ice platform over time, so the dumping side has either to be digged out again or moved (when you hit aquilo you should already have the recycler?)

We took the ice out of that ocean in the first place so being able to throw it back in seems quite reasonable

Why would it need to work like this? In real life, yes, you'd fill up the lake with trash. But this is a game. Just treat it as a bottomless pit.

Hard mode aquilo: No recyclers. You must send things to space to void them.

On topic, yeah it'd make sense. Same for dumping ammonia back into the ocean. And if fluid dumping is allowed, that might solve ice too, though we'd have to melt it first.

And if y'all are concerned about lakes/etc "filling up" with trash, you should probably also be concerned with offshore pumps never running out of fluid, even if the "lake" you're pulling from is 2x2 tiles.

This reminds be of a mod, maybe SE, that has a way to evaporate steam with a turbines. This costs power and a bit of space as a tradeoff to overproduction.

The only reason Vulcanus has its lava void, is because it’s possible to go to Vulcanus before going to Fulgora. With Aquilo, that’s not possible. You definitely have recyclers at this point, so you’re expected to use them.
