I want to be able to build from what is in the space platform inventory, basically making it so that clicking on a stack in the inventory changes the ghost cursor.

It feels wrong that this isn''t possible already and I spent ages trying to figure out how to place the first Uncommon solar panels, for example. The workaround was to add them to my bottom toolbar, but since they were already in the space platform's inventory, that just felt like make-work and counter intuitive.

Press Q (or whatever you have bound to pipette) on a stack.

Yeah, so I ran into the same issue.

I wanted to assign something (in this case, the first 4 asteroid collectors that I shipped to the platform) from the space platform inventory to the quick toolbar, like I do from my inventory, but clicking something then clicking an empty slot on the toolbar, but clicking it does nothing.

So I tried shift-left-clicking, and guess what.... it sent it back to Nauvis.

There really should be a way to assign things in the space platform inventory to the toolbar.
