TL;DR

Move the cursor along with the technology being moved in the research queue.

What ?

When you move a technology in the queue by clicking the move button, the cursor stays in place. Often, however, you want to move a technology by more than one position. When you move the cursor along with the technology, you can simply click the mouse and the technology will move on.

You can also add a hotkey like Ctrl+Click or Shift+Click to quickly move to the end or beginning of the queue.

Why ?

This will increase the usability of the research queue.

The long-term intention is for the research queue to be drag-and-drop, which will make it much easier to use.

Drag-and-drop will be cool too!
