When I load a single-player game of Factorio, I have the option to sync mods, restart Factorio, and go straight into the loaded game with the correct mods.
But when I load a multiplayer game, even if I sync mods, after the restart I have to find the game again, load it again, etc.
I'd expect that for a multiplayer game, Factorio would restart, load the game, go to the multiplayer options, and allow me to start the game without having to find it again after restart.
Why don't single-player and multiplayer work the same way here?
Why doesn't multiplayer sync mods and go straight to the game like single-player does?

I think if you tick the 2 options at the bottom it works like single player, the last one seem like it was unticked in your game for some reasons or am i missing something ?

What you're missing (because I neglected to mention it ) is that I'm the host, and I don't have that option.

So I guess what I'm wondering is, if there's a "Join game after sync" and a "Load game after sync", why isn't there a "Host game after sync"?

I understand now, maybe because after syncing new mod it is "most comon" to use "host saved game" and edit the descriptions, than expecting the game to launch the save right after the syncing of mods.
I often use "continue hosting" so do not run into the annoyance of switching between different saves with different modspacks often.

Well, the idea isn't that it goes straight to hosting the game, but that it does straight to the dialog before hosting the game.
The way it works now:
Even if I'm syncing mods with game M, when it restarts it goes back to the folder of game S that I was playing last time by myself. So after the restart, I have to navigate through the folders all over again to find game M that I already said I wanted to host.
The way it works now:
- Multiplayer
- Load game
- Click the button to sync mods
- Restart the game
- Multiplayer again
- Load game again
