I see that the game is taking share and the updates are coming in through FFF.
I request the developers to consider improving personal transport.
Spidertron is good , even that is not enough if you have to traverse through huge maps.
please consider a new methods of transportation : air travel, transport pod etc.

There are so many transportation mods that I would be surprised if the devs added a faster option than the spidertron. If you really are spending too much time travelling, I recommend the Teleporters mod.

Well, we also have space rockets as a new method of transportation, so I guess you're getting your wish just from what's already been revealed

I would agree except for a few things:

We may be traveling to new planets, but I don't think that each base will be significantly larger than what we already build, and;
The map will be effectively "smaller" in 2.0 as the huge increase in remote tools allows for almost anything to be done without the player actually present.

I don't get the reply above about using space rockets, as there is a set launch and return site, meaning you can't use a rocket to traverse a planet from one side of your factory to the other.

So in my opinion, a legitimate worry, but probably already solved.
