Any quality - You had it right last time [2.20.22]

Post by Romayne »

TL;DR
Revert the location of the 'any' quality selector so it's with the rest of the quality buttons
Why?
It was perfect the way it was with one button click to get it, going back to two clicks like when it was all in a dropdown feels like a step backwards. It also just looks weird and doesn't fit.

I get the idea that it's sort of an equality thing, but just, it doesn't feel like that to me. Feels like a quality thing.

Oh man, I didn't notice this, because I hadn't yet researched quality in my current game. Maybe it'd be better to just get rip of the dropdown for greater/less/equal/etc, and allow more than one quality button to be selected (depressed) in the GUI? Then it'd still default to "any", but that would be all buttons selected. If you want only specific qualities, you'd un-select those ones. Either way, the current GUI feels super weird!

First double-clicking, now an extra click to select "any". Fun.

Definitely agree that any button should be visible at all times like before. Also probably would be nice if we selected quality first and then the item, to go back to old one-click selection of recipies/filters when quality don't matter.

Thanks for the idea, I've posted it as a separate forum post since it's actually an excellent solution IMO. viewtopic.php?f=6&t=123068
