I've got the science packs from Vulcanus and Fulgora and want to start expanding more on Fulgora. I'm mass producing elevated rails and starting to put together a proper rail network. The mech armor lets me just fly over oil and start building.. but I'm still getting struck by lightning.
For me that's ok, I have shield equipment but my personal construction robots are vulnerable, and I find that annoying. So I would like to ask for a personal equipment that would nullify the effect of lightning on the player and would also protect the personal roboport bots.
Preferably it would also provide power and charge the batteries. I didn't think to bring anything better than solar panel equipment on my first run to Fulgora and I was baffled as to how I had all this electric power in the grid but my armor was running constantly out of power. So why not just get hit by lightning to charge up? It's the way to go on this planet.

Yeah, Fulgora's pretty weird to try and use armor/equipment with. I installed the personal transformer mod, that lets you pull electricity from your buildings' power grid. (And also push back into it.) IMO, a lightning rod equipment would make Fulgora a lot less annoying to play. I mean, I probably should have researched a portable fission reactor before I left Nauvis, but I didn't. And my Nauvis base doesn't have roboports, so I can't remotely do anything until I go back to that planet. And my first spaceship was so bad, it barely survived, and then exploded from asteroids after I landed.

Seems like a great idea, however i think it should atleast require fulgora's science pack so you aren't immune to lightning immediately after landing.

Have a 1x6 'portable lightning rod' that acts like a regular lightning rod, just centred on the player and it charges the suit battery.
At present, you kinda have to get a portable fission reactor before going to Fulgora and I see no good reason for that.
