TL;DR

Add a patch to rails that hides gravel under concrete/brick flooring

What ?

Edited screenshot for visual example Instead of having rails be entirely above flooring tiles, they could be given a patch to their sprites to hide some or all of the ballast and sleepers beneath the flooring, leaving only the rails exposed.

Why ?

I know mods have been able to make rails that either have flooring beneath them or have no sleeper or ballast in the texture, but having it in vanilla would not only make rails on flooring look cleaner for all players, but by having it as a patch to vanilla rails would mean it's still the same item as well as having smoother transitions between rails on flooring and rails on natural terrain

I would kind of like to see this, too.
