Today is the first time I am hearing ambient sound on this forum. It is also the first time I am wearing my headset while browsing here.

Questions...

Am I hearing an engineer walk about opening chests?
How long has this been a thing?

No browser I have plays any audio on the forum for me.

The forum does not have sounds. I always have audio on when browsing here.

You probably have a Let's play of Factorio running in the background.

err … does that mean I was wrong and it is actually the forum that is generating sounds for you?

OK, I figured it out. I am an idiot.

I had Factorio running in the background and forgot about it.

There is no ambient sound in this forum. But perhaps I will make the suggestion.

Please, no. Ambiant sound on a web page is in the same category as autoplaying videos, an abomination.

I recommend noscript. I've not had to deal with that trash for years now.
