Can't act on marked PMs

I can't do anything with the private messages I've marked in my inbox. There's that dropdown list with "Mark/Unmark as important", "Delete marked", or "Move marked to $foldername", but regardless of what I've selected there, as soon as I hit "Go", I get this error message:
Is that me being too stupid to use the forum, or is it a forum bug? Moving and deleting messages is something that only moderators and admins can do in the normal forums. Could it be that something has been misconfigured so that I'd need to have moderator privileges to do these things in my private space?
