The new search index no longer contains absolute necessities like:

• inserter
• train
• belt
• crash
• coal
• iron, here I stopped looking for more...

which results in many searches completely failing because not a single word works, or queries that previously gave 5 single results now give 27 pages!

This de facto removes the ability to search for existing Bugs, technical help topics or suggestions.

Google says adjusting/deactivating the Common Word Threshold and rebuilding the complete index afterwards should help.
"It might take many minutes to rebuild the index" :p

Eh, only 348,000 posts, it shouldn't take too long.

Thanks, I will regenerate the index without "common words". It will take a while though :)
