When I click "View your posts", it shows me a list of threads I've posted in.

What it doesn't do is show me my posts. If I click on one of the threads, it just shows me the whole thread, not the part where I posted...which can be quite hard to find manually in a 14-page thread.

Is there something I'm missing?

I have just tested with your profile : memberlist.php?mode=viewprofile&u=29397
Then clicked on : Total posts:12 | Search user’s posts
and I got there : search.php?author_id=29397&sr=posts
And I got a link to each of your posts.
Sometimes, your post doesn't appear first on the screen when it's the last from a topic, and it appears in the bottom then.
But the post list does give links to your posts, not to the first post on the topic.

So why doesn't "View your posts" do the same thing?

Thats not the function of 'View your posts', its for seeing all topics you've posted in

So maybe the text should be changed to "View all the topics I've posted in" rather than "View my posts".

(Though just viewing all the topics I've posted in doesn't seem very useful.)

Its called 'View your posts', not 'View your topics', and its a standard feature of PhPbb for a very long time

I agree, the text is misleading. However, as Klonan mentioned above, it is a phpBB standard and I'm not sure how easy it is to change the text, nor whether we should since other people with phpBB experience might be confused by the change.

It is very useful, at least for me and probably other people that have posted in a lot of threads. It is actually the first page I open when I revisit the forum (if you exclude the mod panel) since you can easily check on replies to all the threads you posted in and to make sure you didn't miss any replies that could be in response to any of your posts.

By the way, another way to quickly search your own or other people's posts is to click the "Advanced search" link under the search field on the top right, then enter your/their name in the Author field.
