I noticed that you can press "report this post" button on your own posts. Is that intended?

I have used it when I need my post moved to a different forum.

Yes, this is intended and as DaveMcW mentioned is sometimes used by people to report their own threads to be moved to another forum, e.g. you started a mod thread in Work-in-progress and your mod is finished now and should be moved to another category.

It even says so in some subforum descriptions, like in Unofficial Updated Mods:

Mods, where the original author has been given up suppport can be moved out of here, just report!
