The forums here are one of the few sites that don't show previews in Discord, where a lot of game-related discussion happens that links here. For reasons beyond my knowledge, even thread titles aren't shown.

Is it possible to implement meta tags/open graph to allow forum links to be previewed at least with a title? The mod portal has done an excellent job of that, for example.

Good suggestion! There appears to be a maintained phpBB extension to add opengraph metadata so I'll try to add it soon.

This has been implemented, links to the forum on compatible platforms will now show previews of the first post.
