Desync on multiplayer connect

Running a modded multiplayer server for me and my friend, about 20 hours in today he ended up in a desync loop when he joined, the log will be in the comments or something since it won't let me put a url in my first post. I've looked through a lot of forum posts and not really found anything so far that actually gives any information

some more information could be helpfull and maybe a different forum like

viewforum.php?f=17 ( SUPPORT FORUM )

sometimes it helps to restart the server/host game. if not try load a older savegame if you have not forgotten to do saves.
