I made a ticket here on the bob's inserter page:

This has been suggested before, but I've never seen an official response on why this is still not a thing. I love the mod but it's a bit too OP for my tastes by default. Customization options would be welcome.

I'll look at doing that after I've updated everything to 0.15.
