Pre-releases

Post by Simius »

Should we put information on the wiki concerning changes of items or buildings in the pre-releases?
For example, since 11.14, the Assembling Machine 3 can fit 6 ingredients instead of 4.
Is it ok to put that in the wiki, maybe as a side-note or something?
I'm sure people playing the pre-realeases want up-to-date information as well, without having to dig through the releases page.

Well, I thought to put such information onto the main-page, in the "New contents"-box:
https://forums.factorio.com/wiki/inde ... w_contents

The idea is simple: Like the "News"-box ( https://forums.factorio.com/wiki/inde ... _Page/News ) this rotates through, you can scroll in history for (very sure planned) new features, really new implemented features and of course the old features.

Every new feature is a wiki-article or forum-page, or both. Like so the upcomming new features can be created step by step and keep updated. It worked well for the 0.11 release. But currently this is too much work for me.

BTW: The content-boxes of the main-page should be visible in the main-category: https://forums.factorio.com/wiki/inde ... egory:Main

Every Content-box should include this code:

Code: Select all

<noinclude>
{{Languages}}
{{C|Main}}
</noinclude>
And I see now, what to do this evening in the commercial breaks :)
Cool suggestion: Eatable MOUSE-pointers.
