Are Friday Facts and New Releases a thing of the past?

Post by Dune »

I'm getting these questions in from my stream's viewership.
  • So, have the developers taken a prolonged vacation?
  • Have they quit Factorio for good?
  • Did their wives abduct them?
  • Where have our devs gone?

Also there is a fan-made FFF now: https://alt-f4.blog/

Obviously, not exactly the same thing, but I think it does a brilliant job at delivering new content from the community.

Just when I'm happy and satisfied and my expectations low. I'm presented with new things that gets me really excited again. Those last three points are really enticing.

Yeah I thought there was no way that was ever happening.

Funny Koub, they had to go and sticky it. I "looked" for a 360 among the other posts and never saw it. Still, there's been no new since then. I waited several weeks thinking they'd resume, and there's not been any more than it.

Have you read the part where it says (emphasis is mine) :
It became an every Friday habit for us and some of our players too, but we believe now is the right time to stop. There will hardly be a better moment to do so. It should be very understandable that we need a break, and we also need the freedom to think about the long term without the obligation to cut it into small chunks for FFF.

Since you can't expect weekly posts from now on, we wanted a way for you to be notified once we have something special to say. Feel free to give us your email address so we can let you know.
