Hi,

will the gog-version be updated soon too?

The linux-version there is on 0.17.41 while windows-version is still on 0.16.51.

AFAIK, games on GoG sometimes take weeks to months longer to update - I'm assuming that this is because GoG employees have to manually check every update for the absence of SP DRM ?
Anyway, this is something that you have to ask GoG first... (You can use the official website version meanwhile.)

It's all there: https://www.gogdb.org/product/1238653230#builds, gog just needs to make it available for download, which takes ages for some reason.

The latest version is available through GOG Galaxy. It seems it is not availabe as offline download at the moment, though. It should be possible to use GOG-generated key in your account on factorio.com to get access to the latest version.

I was doing releases this week and forgot to publish the update on GOG Galaxy. The offline packages are done manually by GOG people, and it only makes sense to make them for stable releases. Thanks for the reminder :)

If you don't use GOG Galaxy, you can use in-game updater or download the game from factorio.com (you need to create an account and activate it using key that you can find in Factorio page in your GOG library.

Having bought the game from its own website long before it came out on Steam or any other platform, I can go to the website and get the latest version and even experimental versions (although at present they are the same version) any time I want to and they run without having Steam or other platform running. I don't know if, having bought it from GOG.com, you will be able to access the website to download directly or not, but I'd recommend investigating the possibility. You may need to make an account on the website (separate from your forum account) and link it to your GOG purchase somehow.

You can, one can get the SN after logging in on gog.com in a Webbrowser and upgrade a factorio.com account with it. See the factorio.com faq.
