I know this sounds odd but is there any way to heat water from ambiant(15°C)?
The reason I would like to know is because I'm doing some testing of large scale Reactors(16+) and this would really boost efficiency and help in compacting size by giving me options for more compact stacks of heat exchangers.

And if not add condensing towers for this said reason.... thinking about this gave me an idea every time you expand your power system you use the old one to boost the next one. So steam to 1 reactor setup and so on all boosting eachother building up as you go. Also solar should have a similar path, larger solar fields having a central structure that boost power generation like the attached file. And use the same heat mechanics as nuclear just "safer"

In early versions, water was gradually heated by passing through a series of 1x1 boilers. The boilers were replaced with the current 2x3 boilers, which gave a fixed 165C output. Nuclear power came, and the 165C boiler water could still be mixed with the 500C nuclear water to create some medium hot water. I think that last bit was removed, so the temperature is only a label rather than an actual property of the water.

There's a discussion here, going on for 8 months, where the devs were considering removing the concept of temperature from a fluid, to replace it by a fuel value system. I don't know if the subject is still thought of by the devs, or if they have decided to leave it as-is with the feedback they received.

I actually think it would make more sense going the other way. You produce 500° steam in the heat exchanger. Put it through the steam turbine and out comes 175° steam that you can still put through a steam engine.

Add plutonium or something and heat exchangers mkII and steam turbine mkII and 100° steam for another level.

Alternatively pre-heat the water for the heat exchangers so they produce 500° steam with less energy. The output from the steam turbines should be mixed in a cooling tower with cold water to make hot water.
