Tree on rail track

I just noticed that I can place a rail track under a tree:
Rail track under tree (collision box of straight rail)

Trains can go there without harming the tree, which is a bit awkward. It may be an issue with mods, though. :-)

do you have squeak through? That is a possible cause.

Squeak through is one of the mods I don't have. However, I have More accurate player size compared to vehicles and Small Robots - Just make the two robots a little smaller installed. The first of these mod already caused me some confusion in another matter. However, it was actually the player's collision box that was affected there, while rails and trees are concerned this time.

I've deactivated these two mods now, as well as Toxic Forest and Junk Train. It didn't help, though. I can still place straight rails next to this tree:
Straight rails next to tree

I can also curve the rail so that the tree stands right in the middle:

However, curved rails next to the tree are not possible:

He doesn't - screen shows mouse over on tree. I do think that Alien Biomes might be reducing tree collision masks a bit. It still looks awkward.
To get definitive answer go to F4 options and enable show collision masks. Tree one might be off center a bit so it's valid in place where it is.

show-collision-rectangles, is that what you meant? Activating that shows a really tiny red square for the tree:
Collision masks with Alien Biomes enabled

Disabling Alien Biomes removed that tree, and the collision masks of the remaining trees seem huge in comparison:
Collision masks without Alien Biomes

So, Alien Biomes seems indeed to be the culprit in this case. :-)

Dead trees aren't really trees (compare with leafed vanilla trees), but yeah, that's Alien Biome's doing.
