Estimating Robot Power Consumption

A few days ago I did some calculations on estimating the power consumption of robots under given throughput conditions.
After developing the methods for computing the power, I did some experiments to see how well my calculations match reality.
Somewhat surprisingly, despite the approximations/simplifications I made in my calculations, the predicted power consumption were pretty close to actual values.
I did a total of 4 experiments, using setups of various complexities; all predicted values were within 15% range from the actual values, and for the simpler cases, where I did not need to use as many approximations, the predictions were so good that the error was less than 5%.
I have written up my theory and my experiments in the. For the sake of better formatted equations, I decided that I will leave the main content of this post in the attached PDF file.
