It's been 2.5 weeks since last update
Would it be possible to hear about what progress has happened lately
Or what's been going on in general ?
Or if you guys have been playing maybe upload some pictures of what kinda bases you setup
Maybe some new features included in there
I make this thread because i noticed it was like weekly updates then it got super quiet around here
Either something big is coming out or you guys have been busy with other aspects of the business
Whichever it is i'm curious !

A) it's pretty big
B) The initial plan was once a week but after the devs rushed on release 2.9 and there were 'little' bugs in it, they decided (after asking) that they should take a bit more time and test their releases more

in response to planned updating schedule:

This gives us more time to implement larger-scale changes.
I can't give you an exact schedule after that, but anything between 14 days and month could happen.
also there are a bunch of updates to improve modding capabilities:

P.S. hey devs I should get half-staff status

FreeER is right. The next update is planned on Friday the 29th of March.
We took our time to focus on some internal refactorings and strong modding support improvements. The link by FreeER with provided expected changes is accurate. There will be backwards incompatible changes for the modders. We want to make these as soon as possible to stabilize the environment a bit for further mods development. I am mainly talking about:
1. The mods will be self standing packages. Then installing a mod will consists of pretty much copying a directory.
2. The json data files will be changed to lua data files. This will result in more powerful ways to manipulate the data for the modders.
There are also tons of small changes and fixes to look forward naturally. Also after 0.2.9 disaster we learned our lesson and want to provide less more quality releases. So either 14 days or 1 month release cycle comes to mind. However I agree that giving a sneak peek of upcoming changes is a good idea. We might do something like that in the News & Updates section soon.
On top of the core dev work we have also prepared the preorder solution on our website and still are busy with some legal stuff.
