nuclear fuel for trains added in .16?

Post by bassgoonist » Fri Dec 15, 2017 6:48 pm

I didn't see this listed, but I see a recipe for nuclear fuel, 1 rocket and 1 u-235 yields 1 nuclear fuel (60 second build time), with 1.21 gj and 250% acceleration bonus. Also, stack size 1, ha

it is fuel, so it also works in furnaces and cars, etc.

but how does that work, how do you turn Nuclear fuel into chemical fuel?

also there is research for it

Technology. A high enough technological level will be undistinguishable from magic.

It's a fuel, in all its aspects. Can be used in a burner, can be used to power a vehicle, ...

It's nice to see that this has now been implemented, after it was suggested 5 months ago in the following thread:

https://forums.factorio.com/viewtopic.php?f=6&t=51421 Nuclear Powered Trains

Also, this thread is related:

Anyone managed to produce this object in a machine? I tried un-researching and re-researching kovarex enrichment but it still does not appear as an option to build the stuff in an assembly machine.

So basically a way to use Nuclear Power without shelling out a good chunk of your resources for a reactor as well as powering cars Fallout style? Okay.

Now we definitely need fuel bonuses for burner inserters. Imagine the power of a nuclear-inserter!
