The mandatory 0.16 F5ing thread

A few questions to fill the void:

1. How much are you looking forward to the (very) experimental 0.16?
2. Favourite new feature/improvement that you think will be included?
3. When did you start F5ing the forum/site/steam?
4. What's your best bet on when it will be released in weekday, hour of day and your timezone?

I'll start:
1. I'm so hyped I can't express it in words!
2. Cliffs & map generation. But yeah, mostly cliffs.
3. A few hours ago.
4. Tuesday 16:00/4PM CET (hopeful)

No, sorry, I don't believe it.

Really looking forward to it. Would not say I'm hyped though.

The Artillery train and the logistic buffer chest!

Never.

Yes, a few times per hour to see if it's there, and oh I forgot about the buffer chest, it will change everything!

1) I'm hyped even tho I am sure enough I won't be able to meet my goal of having an armoured convoy of my own.
2) The rail cannon, ofc and all the other railway-related tweaks :)
3) I don't f5, I just drop in and out of forums, browsing stuff and just passing my time, daydreaming about extensive shelling I am about to bring down, aaaaaaany moment now
4) actually, I do believe it will be friday, around 7-8pm.

1) With every FFF about 0.16, the amount of excitment doubled, so yeah I am really looking forward for 0.16 :D
2) Ability to put splitter and underground belts without deconstructing the belt
3) I press F5 now and then, started around Sunday afternoon
4) Tuesday 16:30 GMT+2(just when I get back from school)

Here are some leaked screenshots!!! (Not really leaked, just well hidden. These are not featured in any FFF to my knowledge.)
Screenshots from 0.16

1) Well, it's experimental, so...

2) That artillery train; I've already worked out something to semi-automatically clear out biters with it.

3) Huh?

4) [CLASSIFIED INFORMATION]

I just viscerally dislike hype. In fact not exactly. I dislike forum flood topics on the hype. I do feel thrilled by the announcements (artillery trains, cliffs, buffer chests, ...). Since 0.9 I have been tremendously happy with every update because there were so many things I liked in them (apart from multiplayer  ). And I'm always happy another version will come out, because it will be beavily loaded with epicness. But hype will produce nothing. It won't make the next version come earlier. I won't make it be more epic. All you'll have done will be losing your time. Fangirling hysteria is not my style. I'm more like a duck : calm on the surface, but paddling like hell underneath ^^.

Haha, I agree, the FFF feels so anticlimactic, on one hand it feels like you get the update of something awesome right then and there, but the next second you realize it might take several months before you actually get the patch.

Better belts overall is something I also look forward to alot

Haha, thank you! It's almost like looking over the shoulder of the dev team!

It's ok @Koub , it's not any kind of flood in here, just happiness and looking forwardness! Giving people like me a chance to write off some of that excitement in one thread instead of 99 threads. =)

We all were hurt by the hype train at some point. It's okay Koub. Time heals all wounds. You will hype again.

1. Very much.
2. Performance optimisations.
3. Yesterday.
4. Since it's not released today then it must be released tomorrow (Wednesday) because Friday is weekend and Thursday is almost Friday so it is almost weekend... At least that's how we do it in telecom releases :).

  1. I have been so looking forward to it that I have been regularily spamming the "I am impatient" thread on this forum.
  2. Artillery train, belt optimizations. However, I believe that the most important thing is the dozens of small improvements that sum up.
  3. Since Monday noon.
  4. Wednesday afternoon. I doubt that they will release it shortly before the weekend, because they stopped doing that because then they had to spend all weekend bugfixing. :) On the other hand, at least with 0.15, I have seen them doing a lot of bugifixing also on weekends.
