On the Factorio wiki it says that the console is opened with the ~ or / key, but neither of these work for me. What is going wrong?

On some keyboard layouts it's ' or ñ

Easiest is to go to Options - Controls and check the key for "Toggle Lua console", or change it to something that is on your keyboard

Thanks, that is very useful advice, I did not realise you could set the key commands!
