Just saw this: http://steam250.com/

Factorio is placed 6 on the "Open source ranking of Steam games curated by the players", and it is a well deserved place (ok, it could be higher, but hey, 6th is extremely good!).

So thank you devs for creating this wonderful game and continuing to make it even better all the time!

Actually, depending on the way ranking is computed, this may vary a lot :
1. Portal 2 (Apr 2011) Puzzle 8.8 99% 112334 votes
2. The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt (May 2015) Open World 8.8 98% 138253 votes
3. Counter-Strike (Nov 2000) Action 8.7 98% 105066 votes
4. Terraria (May 2011) Sandbox 8.7 97% 210870 votes
5. Left 4 Dead 2 (Nov 2009) Zombies 8.7 97% 210357 votes
6. Factorio (Feb 2016) Early Access 8.7 99% 30959 votes
7. Euro Truck Simulator 2 (Jan 2013) Simulation 8.7 97% 125724 votes
8. Stardew Valley (Feb 2016) RPG 8.7 98% 81642 votes
9. The Binding of Isaac: Rebirth (Nov 2014) Indie 8.7 98% 64880 votes
Factorio is second percentage wise. It's the co-third note wise (after co-first Portal 2 and The Witcher 3).
On other sites, with other ranking algorithms, Factorio is second.

Thanks and love!

Hey guys,

I have been reading your FFF blog entries ever since I bought the game a few years ago. I really appreciate the work you have put into this game (I have probably bought about 8 copies on steam to get family and friends hooked lol). The amount of effort you put into getting those t-shirt orders processed in the first 24 hours is astounding. Don't let the new belt compression reactions eclipse the appreciation that we players have for your amazing team and the work that you do for us.

I look forward to play testing the crap out of 0.16 over my Christmas holidays while wearing my new Factorio t-shirt. You guys rock! Keep up the good work as this game can sometimes be one of the few things that keeps me grounded sometimes :).

P.S. That Christmas picture above is really great ScaryBuh! I hope the devs see it.

Cheers, we even got into green color to be santa little helpers. Alinde dropped some tree decorations on the belt by mistake and it clunked up on the belt as it always happens... we only noticed that after posting it here lol

Also would like to talk about the FFF, it's great! I Love the little bit of tech language here and there and I hope it continues, it's a thing that doesn't exist on other games and I think it makes you guys special and open minded, sharing inside secrets and thoughts.
I Got over 500 hours of Factorio on steam and I'm always inviting more friends to play this gem because you guys rock! Go Dev-team!

I don't play many, if any games anymore. Too old, I guess. The games that were fun in '97 iterated to better graphics but less challenges.

But then comes Factorio. It was great two years, and keeps getting better. Thanks.

If anyone decides to found the Church of Wube, which worships the Factorio devs, I will gladly become a devout member. ;-)

big thanks for all the amazing work you all have put into this

i have almost 2k hours of factorio now (started late on 0.14), loved it throughout

just completed my first 0.16 vanilla playthrough, all default except cranked water and cliffs to the max.... it was almost impossible to build a bus or trains with more than one lane, so much fun -
love how fresh it made the whole experience... having to re-design every idea from scratch and squiggle around terrain \o/

again, many thanks to the devs and all the modders as well

THANK YOU
for releasing experimental 0.16 for Christmas time in 2017!!!

...find a good balance between faster releases like 0.16 and longer releases like 0.15. Consider this feedback a present for Christmas.

I love it that you took the leap to release the 0.16 just before the holiday season. With the week off work this will fit in nicely to start a new base in between friends and family visits !
