Hello,
I know that factorio is not going to participate in a sale or bundle but will its price increase with the final release? When is the final release (1.0) expected?

Hi, welcome to the forum

For right now the $20 price won't change, but maybe for 1.0 we will increase to $25, but that won't be soon

It's perma-beta like Minecraft. 20$ for this game is a bargain though!

There will be months of testing 0.15 as it's pretty much the biggest update to date. Debugging is going to be an enormous task and they might want to slowly tweak balance over time as well since there will be heavy changes to combat and research.

Then 0.16 needs to be developed which will probably be mostly filing down burrs and polishing the game in general, which will also need fairly extensive testing. It may not be as big an update but they'll want to ensure it's totally stable for release. From my experience I guess this will take at least a year.

I'm thinking about doing a donation because I have over 1300 hours in game.
I can see on the factorio site some other people have done donations but I can't find where I can do that.
Just buying the game on the factorio site has an option to tip extra, but I already have the game so I don't really want to buy it again.

We removed the ability to make donations through our website when we switch to a new payment system,

If you'd like to donate, or to help us out how you can, purchasing another game key and giving it to a friend would really be an amazing way to help us

There is still a tip option in the buy page in case you think $20 isn't enough

I have to applaud you guys for keeping the price low. While disappointed I essentially paid full price I have to agree the bigger the community the better the game. The better the game the bigger the community will get i.e. positive feedback loop.
