Ive had a pirited game now for a few days and i know its wrong but i have the money and im going to buy it. But first i want to know, which version do i get. Like is the steam version better than the one from their website or are there others. Im looking at mod(ding) support, sharing, multiplayer, etc. Thoughts?

You get the same versions from the Website ans steam. There is a stable release and an experimental release available through steam and the website. The only real difference is that steam will automatically update your factorio if set to and that the devs get more of the money you paid if bought from their site directly.

So it would be better if i got it from their site, so the devs can make a better game in the end.

Really? I wish I have a time machine to buy the game again, from their website, not steam.

buy a copy for a friend.

100% website is better. You get DRM free + steam + more money for devs.
