As i only have played this game for 20-28 hours i wont call myself an expert, i just recently found this game, and are already extreemly addicted to it. However i am wondering, why there is no Diesel/Oil Engines for power generation yet?
this game is all about pollution, i would be the most obvious choice, to upgrade from Coal/Wood.
Peersonally i am not a big fan of pullution, so i almost instantly replaced all the steam engines to an extreemly large Solar Farm, with a ton of accumulators, sadly aliens came and wasted my entire complex, as i was afk for 30 minutes, to make some dinner :P

anyways thats just a question from me, as i find that to be a good idea.. i guess the reason there is no Diesel Power Generators yet, is becasue oil is a pretty new thing?

Because there are no diesel generators in real life power stations.

Yes, oil is used as well as coal, but that's up to to the boiler used, not the generator (that's always steam, even in nuclear plants). Not saying the ability to feed boilers with oil would be a bad idea, though...

Diesel internal combustion engine would be amazing for early game and small stations far from water.
