Hi guys... I have the game purchased on Steam but when I try to login to the mods section it says the free accounts (factorio.com) are not eligible... ok... what is the story with the account upgrade code or better yet, how do I make factorio.com understand that I have bought the game and allow me access to the mods section?

You'll have to go to http://www.factorio.com log in (or register if you haven't) then click on your username on the top right. You should see a "link my steam account" button on the bottom of your account page. Click that then you'll have to put in your steam info, then you should be all set!

Thought of that... Linked my steam account already but it doesn't seem to want to find the game purchase.

Perfect. Known issue being worked on. I did a search for threads to prevent a duplication but guess I missed that one.
