On the mission in new hope were you have the train tracks and you have to fix-up the base and gather the solar panels and other materials. ive seen that mission done on you-tube and they had access to using the trains however i wasn't able to build the oil miners to get the trains to move so am i missing something or was that a bug or mod etc?

I don't recall having to use oil to get the trains to move. You can use coal as fuel.

Really? i tried to put it in but it just got put in the other cars.

Coal would have to be inserted into the locomotive. If it went into the wagon you inserted it in the wrong location.

You can control click to place it in a locomotive, or to view the locomotive inventory click it once to open the schedule window and then click the circle arrow in the upper left of the schedule window to view the locomotive inventory. Place any fuel in it's 3 fuel slots.
