Recycle or Dump?

Not be playing long but I’m hooked. I’ve built a few things by mistake and wondered if it’s possible to recycle unusable object or do I just find a nice area to make a land fill?

The only possible way to destroy things now is to put it in the chest and destroy the chest (by shooting).
