Does next version has release date set (couldn't find this)? Or at least does anyone has idea is it more like weeks or months from the release?

No way to tell.

In the past it has been 2-4 months after a stable release before the next experimental is opened up to players.

As the game matures with the steam release that might come down if they make fewer risky/unstable new features or it could go up as they raise the bar higher before allowing the now much larger user base to hit an experimental build.

Other than multiplayer their experimental builds have always been very stable for single player, so hope they put a .13 branch out soon.

There hasn't been any official release time announced but I would guess maybe another few weeks or a month until the first Experimental release for 0.13. They are adding a lot in 0.13 so I do expect it to take a good bit of time still.

The steam Release of the stable 0.12.* version *just* happened.

Though they've seemed to release every quarter or so, realize that a lot of time that might have gone towards development was pushed to make the Steam release as successful as it was.

Every Friday the devs release a "Friday Facts" and they are a good read if you start back a while and read forward. Doing so will give you a sense of how the game has progressed.

But I wouldn't expect a 0.13 "any time soon" personally, because then when it does get released, it's a pleasant surprise instead of an event someone claimed was overdue because the devs commited to some arbitrary date.

It'll come when it comes. Enjoy the multiple hours of lost sleep until then.

Version 0.13 will be a veritable avalanche of new features, so it's not surprising that it will take a while to be released.

Most of our work still goes to bugfixing of 0.12, but I hope it will be done soone.

I managed to repeatedly run our random multiplayer tests in heavy mode without an issue, this didn't happen for weeks!

There is no reason to rush - the question was only for a hint of information about when - were all happy if that comes in months or so....
Please keep in mind that one of your tantra / fame is building on robust Alpha releases where other competitors would be proud of, if their final versions would be half that stable.

I tend to live under a rock when it comes to news type stuff... so I just ask.

Has anyone heard rumors, seen reports, or is it posted in neon lights somewhere that I missed of when(ish) .13 will be released?

After some discussions, we decided that our goal of 0.13.0 release date is 1. June, which is 2 months and a week from now.

0.13 being released? really? details!

The release has a fixed and specific date now (as opposed to "yeah soonish ..."). The date is 27th of June (a week from Monday). This is a hard deadline. Basically unless something very unexpected happens (i.e. the office being hit by the meteor and our release server not surviving the impact=)) that is when the release will be.

So far no news of meteor strikes around Prague...

Considering that we didn't see a pre-noonish release, and is heading into an after work hours release, it's looking like a meteor strike.

WUBE sometimes release way beyond office hours . Sitting in germany, they have some hours to hold their promise .

I would expect it at the end of the working day, so that they have as much development time as possible. And considering most people are at work anyway, that seems plausible, no?

And I think, they make overhours, if there are gamebreaking bugs which have to be fixed asap .
