I don't see a repair kit in tech tree so how do we go about repairing damaged items?

You can build this repairkits by default, from the very beginning of the game. No need to research anything

Playing the campaign maybe that is reason why? I dont see it in campaign

Naw bro, go into the options on your game and turn on experimental updates. The newest version is supposed to be fairly stable, and will include everything we have been pining over here on the forums.

Ok cool, thank you so much. Now if I can just figure out why I cant get power to my steam engine I'll be ok lol. It worked in the campaign now I am playing free mode I can't get power..

Pumps, then burners fed with coal/wood, then steam engines, all connected with pipes, have electric poles near your steam engines, and the steam engines will produce power to anything else you connect with electric poles.
