Factorio Version: 0.12.22
Specs:
OS: Win7 64
CPU: i5 4670k stock speeds 4x 3.4GHz
GPU: AMD 7870XT 2GB
RAM: 8GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Storage (Factorio files): 2TB HDD SATA3
OS Storage: 240GB SSD

Average UPS: 31200
Average FPS: 31.2

Virtually the same results with Chrome open or closed, also same results in openGL / D3D. Factorio seems to have its own frame limiter, removing mine still reported max 60fps ingame, or 1000+ fps via rivatuner. Didn't affect results at max speed. Only 25% CPU usage despite selecting 4 threads.

UPS: 30,000
FPS: 30 (only because of the huge UPS. In normal gameplay I always have 60 FPS, even with 3x3 supersampling.)

Factorio Version: 0.12.24
Specs:
OS: Win 7
CPU: Intel Core i5-4590 (3.30GHz)
GPU: GTX 660 TI
RAM: Don't know, either 1366 or 1600 MHz DDR3
Storage: SAMSUNG SSD 830

Greetings, Nova.
Factorio is one of the greatest games I ever played, with one of the best developers I ever heard of.

Just built my new PC so I can test the steam version:
CPU: Intel i5-6500(running stock 3,2GHz with 3,6GHz Turbo)
RAM: 16GB DDR4-2133
GPU: Asus STRIX-GTX970-DC2OC-4GD5

UPS: ~28000
FPS: 28-29

Version: 12.20

Specs:
OS: Win 7 Premium
CPU: i5-3570 (Ivy Bridge) @ 3.4GHz
GPU: GTX 970
RAM: 2x8GB DDR3 @ 2200MHz
Storage: 500GB SSD (Samsung 850 EVO)

Result:
UPS: ~23400
FPS: ~23.4

PC needs to be re-installed at some point, been meaning to migrate my installation onto the aforementioned SSD the game was on (currently got a smaller SSD for "important" steam games and windows itself and a main HDD for data which will get removed).

I also rounded my UPS to nearest hundred. It was 23434.34, which considering the FPS result is incredibly weird.

If you have a look at all the previous posts on this topic, that's the typical ratio we all get : 1k UPF

I thouygt this thread was dead by now, then i come home from far away (4 days) and see poeple posting in it.
What we are realy doing here is finding out which CPU runs factorio better, but the test i decided on just measures pure CPU integer performance, charts for that can be found elsewhere. As Kovarex stated previously, and as i have decided to believe in, performance in larger bases is what really matters, and i do not believe testing UPS on small saves is the way to go, hence i am asking any mod that wants to, to lock this thread
Factorio is a game about automating everything. One day, i hope i can automate shitty signatures just like this one.
