Weapon and Tank aiming

Is it just me, or do we need to aim very far "off" the enemy to hit something ?
My Tank Gun shoots never where iam aiming, and the shotgun only can aim at 45° angles, also the first shot always goes in a complete different direction somehow. Dont know how to explain.
I cant remember it has been this way when I played last time. (v.9 something)
With the tank for example, I have to aim 5 meters above or below a point I want to hit. Thats very quirky, and I now just use it as a plow.
The shotgun actually can only used for straight line attacks.
The selfaimed weapons like rockets or smg are fine.
Did I miss something here, has it always been like this ?
