Heey, I was wondering if anybody knows whether the devs already explained how achievements will work in 2.0, with and without the Space Age expansion.

I can imagine that "There Is No Spoon" (finish the game in 8 hours) will be difficult to achieve with the expansion. Additionally, I can imagine the addition of a new achievement to finish the game in a different number of hours with the expansion enabled. So perhaps some achievements could be conditional based on which "base-mods" are enabled? And for some other achievements, like "Watch Your Step", this does not matter.

If nothing is known about it yet, that's also fine, just curious

My assumption is the current achievements will remain, but new achievements will be added that can only be acquired if you have the expansion.

In my version I had 38 out of 38 achievements. Factorio version 2.0 is not out yet but my copy of factorio on Steam already shows I have only 38 achievement out of 88.

Don't know how this comes about given I haven't even upgraded to version 2.0 but anyway there you go

For the moment my existing 38 achievements remain. I don't know whether they will get wiped out when the actual upgrade takes place.

Would've liked to have kept my 38 out of 38 achievements but I guess that ain't gonna happen.
