basically i am playing on my save where i am researching plastics and have started recieving my first biter attacks but ive been strugling to keep up with the iron and copper demands of my factory and building it all over just seems like to much work im not smelting fast enough and there isnt space for more furnaces hence why i would need to destroy everything but ive already done this and ive seen other factorys and they just seem so much better than mine so im just wondering should i start over and make a better factory with my knoledge?

Whatever floats your boat. I have restarted like 15 times before I managed to get to the rocket (even if the dame was pretty different back then). It's totally OK to restart if your current game is not fun.
