Where did the rocket counter go?

Has the rockets launched counter been removed from the game?
Used to love watching it slowly creep up but can't find it now. I understand it has been removed? But why?

The devs removed it on purpose, I guess they judged it should not be in the final game.

Also not exactly the same, but you can also hover over silos and it'll show a counter of how many rockets that silo has launched. Kind of does the job just as well for me, but then again I never liked how it was another unhideable extra UI element.
Maybe the production stats will also list it if you chose "all" for the time interval and look up rocket parts or satellites.
In theory you could build a circuit that counts rockets launched by counting satellites inserted, and keep track of the number yourself, with a custom display made out of lamps, but that's also extra effort. It could be a fun idea to build though if you're open to different kinds of projects!
