How to dicover the whole map ?
How to dicover the whole map ?
In version 2.0, they removed the satellites that revealed the entire map. Is there a mod that adds this?
Re: How to dicover the whole map ?
Satellites never revealed the whole map, even before 2.0.
You can't even really reveal the whole map, as (with default settings) the Factorio map is nearly infinite. There are console commands that force the game to reveal a part of it, but "the whole map" would take years.
See the wiki for the command to reveal part of the map.
For a game where a satellite actually does reveal the entire map, just play Command & Conquer Red Alert 1.

Re: How to dicover the whole map ?
Mod space eploration for factorio 1 could do this.
And map was not infinite . Map was a circle like planet.
Here's an example

the author of this mod is the same, right? so I expected that there would be such a function here too.

Re: How to dicover the whole map ?
Vanilla Factorio map is 2 million by 2 million tile square. Your pc would likely run out of memory if you tried to reveal the entire thing.
That circular map from Space Exploration? That’s that overhaul mod. Don’t expect that in any other Factorio game, vanilla or overhaul.

On the topic of YT links

Even a ribbon world like path, carved out of the map to the end of the world, is almost killing a good gaming PC
But I can understand the question if you come from playing or looking at SE gameplay.
In SA you won't need as much. If you include quality into your module plan
