Wasnt fast enough to catch up with the server

Post by Zonk »

Waht exactly does the message "XXY wasnt fast enough to catch up with the server"

Is the Playersc PC to slow to catch with calculating or chanches made while downloading?
Is it beause the Download from player is too slow?
Is it because the upload from Server is too low?
Or maybe all of it?

It means your PC is too slow to catch up with the server and other players

"Too slow" as in tick rate or connection bandwidth?

Probably bandwidth, and probably momentaneous. Is the message recurring? If positive, is it recurring in different servers?

My friend and I played 0.14.1 multiplayer, and we played a lot 0.12 and 0.13 without any problem nor even lag, and got this message sometimes after an auto-save and got disconnected, we have almost the same computers and definitely not slow.
This game is awesome

Hey @Kolan.

Is this message displayed when the client can't keep up with the server's tick rate (well after the async download/catch-up phase) or does the client timeout while in the catch-up phase of the async download process?
