Hi!
I needed to briefly use the mod "Clockwork" so installed it and tweaked the "per-map" settings of the mod to make daytime very long. After I was done using it, I uninstalled the mod. However I noticed that the days where still very long, so I suspected the mod's settings where still governing my save. I re-installed the mod and discovered that the per-map settings where still showing the values I had chosen. So, how to completely get rid of a mods settings after it's uninstallation?
I want my day/night cycle to be back as it was (vanilla).
Please help! thanks.

The day/night settings are saved with the actual save file. If you don’t mind disabling achievements, you can use /editor, go to the stopwatch tab, and change the day/night values there.
If you do mind disabling achievements, you could try changing the mod value to something random, saving, reloading, and then changing the value back to normal. (I’m not 100% sure this will fix it, but it probably will)

Thanks! Hmm I do mind disabling achievements and I dont want to fiddle around with my save file or /editor.
Gees, that mod should really warn players about this in the description imho.
I'm not all that technically knowlegable about the game, but I always believed that the Modding System of factorio ensured that removing a mod removes any and all traces.
Damn, so I messed up my daynight cycle in my long term vanilla factory, just because I needed to use "Clockwork" for a short moment for a specific purpose.

Which values entered into these mod settings correspond exactly to vanilla?
https://mods.factorio.com/mod/Clockwork
I could try setting those, and then removing the mod...

Re: Mod settings still governing my save after mod uninstall?
I think that approach will work. The values in the screenshot are the defaults, except for "Daylength Multiplier" which should be 1.Usul wrote: ↑Sat Oct 31, 2020 10:28 amWhich values entered into these mod settings correspond exactly to vanilla?
