Computer crashes when in multiplayer games

Hi all!
I have played through some of the tutorials and have had no issues. When I joined a friends multiplayer game my laptop crashes after a few minutes. I tried starting up a new multiplayer with just myself as the current player and received the following error (this is rare as usually the laptop crashes before the error code):
"The video card has been physically from the system, or a driver update for the video card has occurred.
Error DGXI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED. Reason: DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG
If you see this error often, try rebooting the PC or updating your graphics drivers.
The PC might also be unstable due to overclocking or overheating.
As a possible workaround, you can try switching Factorio to the OpenGL renderer."
I've tried reducing visual settings as well as OpenGL render and have had no luck. I've also attempted a windows full reboot as well as updating my graphics card with no further success.
My laptop specs are:
Processor: Intel i7 4th Gen 4510U 2.00GHz
Operating system: Windows 10 Pro 64Bit
Memory: 6GB
Hard Drive: 1TB
AMD Radeon R7 M260
Intel(R) HD Graphics Family
Any help would be much appreciated!
