When opening the Menu to manually save the game this error occurs and Factorio freezes, autosave does not have this issue. This happens when I'm on a completely new vanilla map as well.

I've also asked and no one seems to have the json that the error is referring to or even a beta folder in campaigns

You cut the beginning from the log, if you are on steam delete the campaign folder and then verify the game files, if this does not work post the complete log.

oops here's rest of the log

I just deleted the campaign folder and verified files, the campaign folder did not reappear or download, and still have same error

Seems it was a corrupted campaign save that was causing the issue

I agree, but when i deleted that save the error doesn't occur anymore

I have the same error. I went and copied my old campaign saves out, deleted them in the game (generates the same error whenever the file is read by the game) and that removed the error. I've uploaded one of the saves that was causing the error if you want to check it out.
