Geothermal/Squeak Through not working

I am trying to join a modded game, and keep getting an error message about a file the game can't find. My friend gave me a copy of his file, but now I get the error message about "sprite size". I am using the latest version of the game and all the mods. I have tried uninstalling/deleting the game and ALL mods, and I have no idea what to possibly even try next. Thanks in advance.

Disable the mods, update the mods, enable the mods, restart the game.
Your friend needs to update to the latest version of the game as well for you two to be able to play together.

I looked in the mod section, it says all mods are updated.
