Hi,

I updated from 0.17.42(i think) to 0.17.56 and since i have this black screen flashing once in a while(every 2-3 minutes or so).
In game but also when doing nothing. Tested it by just starting the game and wait in the menu till it flashes again. The flash looks like it is restarting the window.

Looking into the logs there is no event recorded at that time. Exited factorio 5 seconds after the flash.

Tried turning of vsync, no luck there.. still happening
It even crashed my complete system after a few flashes. Previous time it crashed my system half... everything worked except the mouse. I thought it might just have been a windows error. But now it happend again and nothing worked, had to hard reset my computer. Only saw a blackscreen with a mouse(which was not moving). ctrl+alt+del, alt+F4, esc, alt+tab. None of them did anything.

Not very eager to test any further.... with these hard resets

If possible, update your graphics driver: https://www.nvidia.com/Download/driverR ... 7087/en-us
If it's not possible or doesn't fix the issue, try to disable "Use flip presentation model" in graphics settings.

updated driver -> No fix.
disable "Use flip presentation model" -> fixed.
