Game slows down when I try to host a LAN multiplayer

My pc is not slow. I was teaching a friend how to play when I noticed that some of the machines such as inserters and miners worked slower. I went to singleplayer to a different save file to test it and the difference was big. Whenever I turn on the save file it does that. Its not an UPS issue as my game update never goes above 0.2. I have not changed the game speed with any commands or anything of that nature. How can i fix this issue?

I'm actually retarded ;-; I never ran out of power so I figured it would just turn everything off as if I had no power. Ty kind sir
