I tried to join three of my friends via the public server browser, as well as through Steam friends.
What happened?
I received the error "Couldn't establish network connection with server".
What did you expect to happen instead? It might be obvious to you, but do it anyway!
I expected to be able to join my friends.
Does it happen always, once, or sometimes?
It always happens. It has never once not happened.
Steps I've taken to attempt to fix the issue:
- Forwarded the UDP port 34197 via my router.
- Allowed Factorio through my firewall.
- Created both inbound/outbound rules allowing entry for port 34197.
- Uninstalled/reinstalled the application.
- Scanned and repaired the application.
- Ran the application as system administrator.
